ANTON BRUCKNER
(1824 - 1896)
Bruckner-Facsimile
In 1876 Bruckner made the attempt to have his Fourth Symphony performed in Berlin. For this reason he was in contact with the Berlin music scholar Wilhelm Tappert.
A letter to Tappert was accompanied by a handwritten curriculum by Bruckner in which the Anfelden master describes in concise words his professional development from a school teachers‘ assistant to a lecturer at the University of Vienna.
